The day to day, activities of DLLN – Uganda are run by a dedicated team of technical persons at the DLLN – Uganda’s secretariat in Kamuli (Administration Rd – Administration Block)

His Majesty William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV

Gabula was born in Jinja on 1 November 1988. He is the son of Wilson Gabula Nadiope II, onetime minister of tourism in the Ugandan Cabinet, who died in 1991, and Josephine Nadiope, who died in 1993. His paternal grandfather is William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Nadiope III, who ruled as Kyabazinga from 1949 until 1955 and from 1962 until 1966. Nadiope III was also the first vice president of Uganda, from 1962 until 1966. Gabula Nadiope was unanimously elected by the ten Busoga Royal Chiefs who convened at Bugembe on 23 August 2014 for the purpose of electing a new Kyabazinga.

 Gabula was unanimously approved by the Busoga Lukiko (Parliament) on 25 September 2014.  Prince William Gabula was crowned as the 4th Kyabazinga of Busoga at Bugembe on Saturday, 13 September 2014. 

Education and work

He started his Primary Education at Victoria Nile then Lohana Academy from 1995 until 2001. In 2002, he entered Busoga College Mwiri for his O-Level studies until 2005. He continued with his A-Level education, at Kyambogo College School, graduating in 2007. He was admitted to Kyambogo University, graduating in 2011, with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Economics. At the time of his coronation, he was employed as an Economist in the Uganda Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. He then went for further studies in the United Kingdom and graduated in 2015 with a First Class master's degree in Business Administration (Management) at Coventry University.

Simon is a committed advocate with vast experience in legal practice and mainly practices land and real estate law, Corporate and commercial law, taxation and revenue law, civil litigation and physical activities & sports law.

Simon also does civil and commercial litigation, settlement negotiation, mediation, arbitration for both individual and corporate clients. He also does litigation in areas like land and real estate, he practices insurance law, intellectual property law, sports law and he is the legal officer of Eastern Rugby Union, he is also the legal officer of an NGO called Developing Lives, Livelihood and Nutrition Uganda (DLLN) and he heads the litigation department at Nambogo & Co. Advocates.

Simon’s banking and finance practice entails legal advice to financial institutions, microfinance businesses on how to mitigate likely risks from various transactions, loans, decisions likely to be taken by financial institutions, debt collection and recovery, mortgages  and litigation in that area. He also offers tax and revenue advice to clients, does tax planning, drafts and prepares transfer pricing policies, effectively represents clients with tax grievances in the different fora of tax justice. 

Simon also advises DLLN on the best land tenure systems that may help people to improve their livelihood, how to use and preserve the available land so that DLLN targeted population can get the best out of the small pieces of land available and also advises DLLN on tax matters among others.

Peter has worked in different organisations; he was an ICT lecturere at UMCAT school of Journalism and Mass communication, field officer at Label One marketing agency, IT Manager at Steel and Tube Industries LTD, ICT Manager and Instructor at St.Josephs Vocational Institute, Chief editor of Youth.com Magazine and Currently a project cordinator of Profuturo Digital Education Programme.

He holds a bachelors Degree in Commerce with information systems management , Cisco certified Network Associate and Cisco Certified Network Professional.
